Stolen racing bike returned
A bicycle worth more than $10,000 stolen from the Trek Livestong U23 Cycling Team, a development team sponsored by Lance Armstrong, was returned to Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop on Tuesday.
In November, thieves smashed a glass back door at Mellow Johnny’s to get the time trial bike, ridden by team member Ryan Baumann, according to Craig Staley, the shop’s general manager. A cyclist bought it at a flea market in Guanajuato , Mexico, in early January. His local Trek dealer recognized the bike when the cyclist brought it in for service.
