When time was up for the Q&A portion of Bob Mionske’s February 28th book signing of Bicycling and the Law: Your Rights as a Cyclist at 8 PM, not many of the 30 or so in attendance were ready to leave.
For another hour Mionske chatted with members of the Evanston Bicycle Club, the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, the xXx Racing Club, the League of Illinois Bicyclists, SRAM Corporation, the Northwestern University Cycling Team, organizers of the Chicago Cyclo-cross Cup series, and, of course, the Turin Bicycling Society.
The evening began with socializing over wine and cheese at 6:30. Bob quickly engaged his audience with analyses of the legal implications of a series of cycling mishaps on the road. Bob was very knowledgeable of local issues, including the Illinois Supreme Court’s Boub decision and recent traffic incidents.
